Jobing Description
Description Sell advertising time to activate prospective accounts for insertion into local and satellite programming.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops or obtains leads and lists of prospective advertisers from available research.
Contacts and calls on prospective advertisers (retailers and advertising agencies) and solicits advertising by presenting concept and pricing, utilizing required knowledge of customers' products, services and needs.
Prepares sales contracts and may work with advertiser and Bresnan Communications local origination production unit in development and production of commercial spot.
Completes required documentation and reporting for internal flow of all orders.
Maintains a log of daily contacts.
May also sell related print advertising (program guides, channel listings, bill inserts) to existing and new clients.
May assist in commercial production.
Provides for ongoing servicing of existing clients to ensure maintenance and expansion of advertising revenue.
Responsible for bill collecting on aged accounts.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications High school education plus specialized training in sales/marketing techniques.
1-3 years media sales experience preferred.
Neat personal appearance.
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Good organizational skills.
