3 years commercial and consumer loan
origination and sales experience
1 year of supervisory experience
Previous participation in bank product,
service, and regulations training
Knowledge of and/or experience with SBA
guaranteed and rural development B & I
loan programs
Knowledge of commercial and consumer
lending policies and procedures

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

Essential Duties
1. Interview applicants for commercial and consumer loans.
2. Prepare written underwriting analysis for various types of loan applications and analyze
credit history of applicants to determine their loan repayment capabilities.
3. Summarize analyses and recommend approval/denial at loan committee level.
4. Negotiate credit terms such as costs, loan repayment methods and collateral specifications.
5. Develop and maintain interest rate structure to be consistent with financial institution policies
and procedures, and to be competitive with current market rates.
6. Review new laws and regulations that influence business lending within the financial
institution; make recommendations to management when necessary.
7. Assist in product and service development to ensure customer satisfaction and Bank
profitability; recommend upgrades, marketing, elimination or future development of under-
performing products and services, and development or introduction of new products and
services when necessary.

Direct, oversee, and implement changes and additions to the Bank s comm

ercial and

consumer lending policies and procedures, as needed, to best serve community and current
market needs.
9. Provide daily supervision and assist in development and training of commercial loan staff;
team with AVP/Consumer Lending to provide assistance and training to consumer loan staff.
10. Supervise consumer loan staff in the absence of AVP/Consumer Lending.
11. Supervise Helena and Townsend business development activities and support Bozeman
and Butte branch offices in analyzing business credits.
12. Advise and assist commercial loan staff with resolutions for customers with difficult issues.
13. Provide information and data in the preparation of the commercial loan department budget.
14. Work with Senior Vice President/Lending, Assistant Vice President/Mortgage Lending,
Assistant Vice President/Consumer Lending, and Assistant Vice President/Accounting and
Compliance Officer to ensure that loan department adheres to established
compliance/lending policies and procedures. Aid in formulation and implementation of
policies.
15. Work closely with Loan Specialist in collection of delinquent accounts.
16.
Serve as member of the Bank s Officer Loan Committee and participate in other ad hoc

committee activities.

17. Perform other related duties as assigned.
