Engineering - Environmental
The Environment Division of AECOM is actively seeking an Environmental Scientist for the Billings, Montana office. This position will support remediation projects by completing environmental investigations, remediation, construction, sampling, and operation and maintenance (O&M) tasks. The selected candidate will be engaged in a wide range of projects under Montana DEQ, CERCLA, RCRA, and local jurisdictions, and be responsible for project quality. The successful candidate will have experience supporting regulatory negotiation, stakeholder meetings, and delivering presentations when needed. This role will require general, multi-disciplinary knowledge relating to environmental site assessments, remedial investigation, risk assessment, remedial alternatives evaluation, cost estimating, cleanup action plan preparation, remedial action O&M, and remedial action optimization.
- Oversee work and safety of contractors.
- Collect soil, water, and vapor samples using approved sampling plans and industry accepted methods. Document work with detailed field notes.
- Coordination with task and project managers, working with on-site subcontractors and field staff, supporting sampling, data collection, and field documentation
- Specific office support includes preparation of work plans, health and safety plans, and technical reports
- Manage environmental data and prepare tables and figures to present data.
- Manage tasks assigned by project manager.
The successful candidate will support business growth by developing, maintaining, and enhancing client relationships, and preparing proposals. The qualified candidate will be key to strengthening and expanding client relationships and business. Job duties will involve both field and office assignments with occasional overnight travel required.

BA/BS + 2 years of related experiences or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
BS in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or equivalent
